Family

I guess I am not very good about keeping up with my blogs. The last time things were going good. Son was to move out and a promising Spring was on it's way.
Well, the moving out did not happen and the son is still home. With all his various girlfriends. Last count, 4, but now I guess he and his gf of 2 yrs decided to try it again. My food bill went back up as did the late nights out and not knowing if he came home or did not. Mind you he is almost 26, but living in my house, and being a mother, I need to know that he is allright. ( Not counting the Army drills he had last week and failed to call me when he plunged 40' because of heat exhaustion. But hey, why bother ?)
So, we are at it again.
Spring is under bloom, even with the rain and some nice days. Got to visit my cousin on my birthday weekend in NH and we ( me, my hubby, my cousin and her hubby) all went to my favorite city of Boston on my birthday. We went to the top floor of the Prudential building and had an awesome view of all of Boston. Even a nice airiel view of Fenway Park, go Sox!!! I ate so much food, had dinner in the North End ( waiter was so Italian and so CUTE!). Left the city with a box of Mike's Pastrys with my cannoli, oh yum.
The following week, my dr calls me to tell me my pap smear taken at my yearly visit showed something. Back for another to my ob/gyn and an office visit with him. Things came out fine, just age . My grandmother always said "It's hell to get old" Right on Nanny.
Next is my yearly mammogram. Comes back with something. Ok, is God really not liking me now?? I went for more pictures on Monday and everything is fine. I am good, all is right with the world.
Wrong. Yesterday ,hubby's sister's heart stops while having an MRI on her finger. All the family ( and I mean all . There are at least 40 if you get everyone together, but last night maybe there was 25 as some family members live out of state). As of this morning, it is not looking good. So it is just a matter of time. Did I mention she turned 62 yesterday?
About family, guess we need them ,no matter how petty we get about things. We are all here for each other no matter what.
My little neighbor I babysit for will be here in awhile, she will make me smile and laugh. She is almost one and keeps me busy. Which is good as I need to be busy. Time will tell how today goes. So give your family all the love you can and tell them you love them everyday. One never knows.
